Bernard received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Virginia State University. Before his illustrious career in construction and development, Bernard had the honor of playing professional baseball with the Kansas City Royals from 2001 to 2005. Following his athletic career, he pursued his passion for engineering, joining Con Edison as an Engineer. His career trajectory then took him to Hensel Phelps, where he served as a Project Engineer, and later to Rand, where he excelled as a Senior Project Manager.
Throughout his 17 years of industry experience, Bernard has developed a unique blend of leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills that he now brings to Blackrock Development Management. His commitment to excellence honed both on the field and in various engineering and managerial roles, drives his vision to continuously advance the firm's reputation and impact in the commercial real estate industry.
